The “Women Summit and Exhibition 2026” commenced on Saturday (May 9, 2026) at the Elite Convention Hall in Gulshan, Dhaka, with the empowering theme “She Leads, She Shines.” Organized by the ‘Power of She’ Trust, the two-day event aims to bolster women’s leadership, skill development, and physical and mental health awareness. Since 2017, the organization has been a key driver in creating sustainable networks for female entrepreneurs in Bangladesh.
The exhibition features 38 stalls showcasing a wide array of indigenous products, including boutique apparel, handicrafts, homemade food, and jewelry. To encourage new startups, the organizers introduced “Entrepreneur Hunt,” providing free exhibition spaces to three promising entrepreneurs. Additionally, two students were given the unique opportunity to work directly with renowned business leaders, bridging the gap between education and industry experience.
The inaugural day included a vital session titled “Incepta Women Health Matters!!,” where leading gynecologists and health experts discussed women’s physical well-being. A second panel, “Economy through Women’s Eyes,” brought together renowned economists like Professor Selim Jahan and fashion icon Bibi Russell to discuss women’s impact on the national GDP. The first day concluded with a live performance by the Dhaka Community Band, drawing a diverse crowd of corporate representatives and young professionals.
The second day, May 10, will focus on mental health through a session titled “Speak Your Mind,” featuring noted psychotherapist Professor Mehtab Khanam. It will also host a masterclass on entrepreneurship led by ShopUp Co-founder Sifat Sarwar. The summit, open to all without registration, will wrap up with a cultural gala and an award ceremony honoring achievements in sports and fashion design, featuring Guinness World Record holder Jobera Rahman Linu.
