Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman inaugurated Military Collegiate School Faridpur and Sena Public School and College Rajbari on Sunday. The ceremony marked a step toward expanding high-quality educational infrastructure in remote areas of Bangladesh.
According to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Bangladesh Army has consistently contributed to human resource development alongside its core duties of safeguarding national sovereignty and security. The new institutions aim to deliver structured and modern education to nurture patriotic and skilled future leaders.
Modeled after Military Collegiate School Khulna (MCSK), the Faridpur institution will focus on academic rigor, leadership development, and moral values. Meanwhile, Sena Public School and College Rajbari, located in Kalukhali Upazila, addresses the educational needs of a rural community by offering modern facilities and a disciplined learning environment.
Education experts believe these institutions will bridge regional gaps in educational quality. The structured environment provided by military-managed institutions often acts as a catalyst for academic discipline and holistic development among rural youth.
Senior military officers, including the Adjutant General of the Bangladesh Army and the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 55 Infantry Division, attended the opening ceremonies. Local civil administrators, community leaders, teachers, and students were also present.
Addressing the audience, the Army Chief emphasized that these schools would go beyond traditional academic instruction. They are designed to instill ethics, integrity, and a strong sense of civic responsibility in students.
