The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced the squad for the upcoming Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament, set to commence on February 13 in Bangkok, Thailand. Veteran leg-spinner Fahima Khatun has been appointed to lead the side.
The squad features a strong core of players with international experience. Key national team figures including Rubaiya Haider Jhilik, Jannatul Ferdous Sumona, Sharmin Sultana, Fariha Islam, Sanjida Akter Meghla, Lata Mondal, and Taj Nehar have all been included to bolster the lineup.
Bangladesh has been placed in Group B, where they will face off against Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and hosts Thailand.
The team will begin their campaign on February 14 against Sri Lanka, followed by a clash with Thailand on February 16. Their final group stage match is scheduled for February 18 against Malaysia.
Bangladesh Women’s Rising Stars Squad are Fahima Khatun (Captain), Shamima Sultana, Ishma Tanjim, Rubaiya Haider Jhilik, Jannatul Ferdous Sumona, Sharifa Khatun, Sharmin Sultana, Fariha Islam, Sadia Akter, Farzana Yasmin, Sanjida Akter Meghla, Taj Nehar, Lata Mondal, and Fatema Jahan.
Standby Players are Disha Biswas, Mishty Rani Saha, Halimatul Sadia, and Habiba Islam Pinky.
