Technology Media Guild Bangladesh (TMGB) and the Russian House in Dhaka have agreed to expand bilateral ties and enhance professional training for tech and science journalists in Bangladesh.
A delegation from TMGB, led by its President Mohammad Kawsar Uddin, paid a courtesy call on Alexandra A. Khlevnoy, Director of the Russian House in Dhaka, on Wednesday (August 19, 2026).
The meeting focused on strengthening media exchanges and building long-term linkages between tech journalists and media institutions of both nations.
Both sides emphasized holding joint media workshops, masterclasses, and targeted capacity-building programs. Russian House representatives agreed to extend institutional support to facilitate skill-development initiatives for media professionals.
During the exchange, Director Alexandra A. Khlevnoy briefed the delegation on various Russian House activities. She highlighted Russian government scholarships for higher education, language courses, and short-term international exchange programs designed for Bangladeshi youth and professionals.
The TMGB delegation included Vice Presidents Kumar Bishwajit Roy and Moidul Islam, General Secretary Mursalin Haque Zonaid, Treasurer Mahadi Hasan Shimul, Organising Secretary Md. Golam Dustogir Touhid, Publication Secretary Naznin Akter Lucky, and Executive Members Nazmul Hossain and Rahim Sheikh.
