The newly formed government is set to introduce a comprehensive 180-day roadmap outlining its priorities and administrative goals. Following the first cabinet meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, State Minister for Finance and Planning, Zonayed Saki, informed the media that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman would personally present this strategic action plan soon. The primary objective of this roadmap is to fulfill public expectations without any unnecessary delays, marking a swift start to the government’s tenure.

With the holy month of Ramadan commencing tomorrow, the government has placed immediate focus on market stability, essential commodity supply, and maintaining law and order. State Minister Saki emphasized that all ministries and departments have been directed to work in a coordinated manner to protect public health and ensure a stable market environment. “The people have entrusted this government with a significant mandate; we cannot afford to waste a single moment in delivering on our promises,” he stated, highlighting the urgency of implementing electoral pledges.

During the cabinet session, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman issued a stern warning against corruption. He urged his colleagues to remain vigilant so that no individual or group could tarnish the government’s image. The administration has committed to forming a “Clean Government,” and the Prime Minister reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy against irregularities would be strictly enforced. This commitment to integrity is expected to be a cornerstone of the upcoming 180-day governance plan.

Regarding the details of the plan, Saki mentioned that the Prime Minister has already initiated discussions and will soon present a clear framework before the cabinet. The roadmap will include specific targets for market monitoring and ensuring the safety of citizens. Law enforcement and related regulatory bodies have been put on high alert to handle any potential disruptions. This proactive approach underscores the 13th Parliament’s intent to revitalize state institutions and restore transparency across the administrative spectrum.
