BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed strong optimism regarding his party’s ability to secure the necessary seats to form a government in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday afternoon in front of the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, he shared his vision for a collaborative administration, stating his intention to govern alongside the political parties that participated in the movement to restore democracy.

When questioned about his expectations for the election results, Tarique Rahman remarked that the party is confident in achieving the mandate required to lead the country.

“We are optimistic about securing the seats necessary to form a government,” he stated.

He further added that with such a mandate, the party expects to be able to manage the affairs of the state effectively and “beautifully” for the benefit of the people.

Addressing the possibility of a coalition government, the BNP Chairman emphasized inclusivity.

He noted that the party intends to involve the various political entities that stood together during the period of struggle and protest.

“We have said before that we want to govern the country together, including, more or less, all those political parties with whom we have carried out our movement and struggle,” he clarified.
