As of January 31, this year (2026), a total of 1,081 people has been admitted to the hospital due to dengue across the country. While in the last 24 hours, 17 dengue patients have been admitted to different hospitals across the country. However, no one has died due to dengue
This information was disclosed in a press release about dengue update sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday (January 31).
According to the press release, among the patients admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours, there are seven people in Chittagong Division (outside City Corporation), one person in Dhaka Division (outside City Corporation), three people in Dhaka North City Corporation, three people in Dhaka South City Corporation, and three people in Mymensingh Division (outside City Corporation).
Meanwhile, 22 dengue patients were discharged from the hospital in 24 hours. No one has died due to dengue in the last 24 hours.
As of January 31, this year, a total of 1,081 patients admitted to the hospitals seeking treatment affecting by dengue. Some 63.6 percent of them are male and 36.4 percent are female. A total of 969 patients has been discharged from the hospital so far this year. Two people died of dengue this year so far.
From January 1 to December 31, 2025, a total of 1 lakh 2 thousand 861 people were affected by dengue and a total of 413 people died of dengue.
From January 1 to December 31, 2024, a total of 1 lakh 1 thousand 214 people were affected by dengue and a total of 575 people died of dengue.
A total of 1,705 people died of dengue from January 1 to December 31, 2023. At the same time, a total of 321 thousand 179 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue.
