NRBC Bank contributes Tk70.57m to Bangladesh startup investment company

NRB Commercial Bank has handed over a cheque amounting to Tk 70.57 million to Bangladesh Bank as part of the initiative to establish and operate Bangladesh Startup Investment Company PLC, formed in line with central bank guidelines.

The development was confirmed in a press release issued by NRBC Bank on Wednesday (February 4).

The cheque was formally presented to Naushad Mustafa, Director of the SME and Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) of Bangladesh Bank, by NRBC Bank’s Managing Director and CEO, Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan.

Through this contribution, NRBC Bank reiterated its strong support for Bangladesh Bank’s initiative aimed at fostering new entrepreneurs and strengthening entrepreneurial development. The bank reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to supporting the country’s startup ecosystem as part of broader efforts to promote sustainable economic growth in Bangladesh.

Senior officials of NRBC Bank, including Tanushree Mitra, Head of the Credit Management Division, and Sheikh Ahsanul Haque from the SME Financing Division, were also present at the event.
