Bangladesh strongly condemned the recent Houthi attack targeting civilian areas within Saudi Arabia, which left several civilians injured. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued an official statement from Dhaka on Tuesday, September 8, expressing deep concern over the escalating violence.

In its official release, Dhaka reiterated its unequivocal rejection of all forms of violence directed against non-combatants and public infrastructure. The foreign ministry emphasized that targeting peaceful communities directly violates basic principles of international humanitarian law.

The statement underscored Bangladesh’s principled opposition to terror tactics and armed aggression. Officials stressed that attacks on civilian infrastructure degrade regional security and undermine global peace efforts.

Reaffirming close bilateral ties, Bangladesh expressed complete solidarity with the government and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia. Dhaka acknowledged the shared historical and diplomatic bonds connecting both nations during times of crisis.

Furthermore, Bangladesh reaffirmed its unwavering stance on preserving the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security of Saudi Arabia. The government pledged continued diplomatic support for Riyadh’s efforts to defend its land and populace.

Maintaining stability in the Gulf region remains crucial for global economic balance and the safety of millions of migrant workers. Bangladesh called for an immediate cessation of hostile actions to prevent further regional escalation.
