Her Excellency Ms. Sadia Faizunnesa, Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Morocco, read out the messages issued by the President and the Prime Minister. Counsellor Rajib Tripura delivered the messages from the Foreign Minister and the State Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The embassy screened two government-produced documentaries highlighting the key events and popular resistance of the July-August 2024 mass movement. Expatriate Bangladeshis, Moroccan citizens, foreign dignitaries, and embassy personnel attended the event.

In her keynote address, Ambassador Sadia Faizunnesa paid profound tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting against autocratic rule. Commending the extraordinary leadership of the youth, she called upon citizens at home and abroad to uphold the core values of the July uprising to build a just, inclusive, and non-discriminatory nation.

Ambassador Faizunnesa underscored that the government remains dedicated to fulfilling the core promises of both the 1971 Liberation War and the 2024 July Uprising under a “Bangladesh First” diplomatic framework. The solemn gathering concluded with special prayers for the eternal peace of the departed martyrs.
