Prime Minister Tarique Rahman officially inaugurated his first working day at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tejgaon on Saturday.
Marking Shaheed Day and International Mother Language Day, he unveiled commemorative postage stamps in a ceremony attended by senior cabinet members and advisers.
Despite it being a public holiday, the PM arrived at the office at 10:10 am, where he was received by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar. Posts and IT Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, Political Adviser Nazrul Islam Khan, and other high-ranking officials were present to witness the stamp release, symbolizing the administration’s commitment to national heritage.
