TBM Report

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman inaugurated the Army International Islamic Institute (AIII) at the Jolshiri Abashon project area in the capital on Monday.

During the ceremony, the Army Chief also laid the foundation stones for upcoming AIII branches across seven military garrisons—Barishal, Savar, Bogura, Sylhet, Chattogram, Cumilla, and Jhashore—via video teleconference (VTC), according to a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Bangladesh Army has maintained a long-standing commitment to expanding quality education and developing human capital throughout the country. Aligning with modern academic requirements, AIII integrates the Cambridge curriculum English-medium education with character-building and value-based instruction.

The institution aims to function as a center of excellence for academic rigor, discipline, and moral grounding. Through this dual focus, the institute seeks to nurture patriotic, ethically grounded citizens equipped for leadership roles both nationally and globally.

Senior military officers including Principal Staff Officers from Army Headquarters, General Officers Commanding (GOC) of various divisions, distinguished guests, teachers, students, and journalists attended the inauguration ceremony.
