Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan launches IHG Giving for Good Month 2026 with blood donation drive

Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan has kicked off its annual ‘IHG Giving for Good Month 2026’ with a major blood donation drive titled “Drops of Hope” to support individuals battling thalassemia.

Organized in strategic partnership with the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation, the campaign mobilized nearly 50 percent of the hotel’s total workforce. The collective effort is expected to provide life-saving blood transfusions for 60 to 70 thalassemia patients across the country.

For individuals suffering from thalassemia, consistent blood transfusions are essential for survival. Addressing this vital healthcare demand, the hotel staff turned individual acts of voluntary support into a impactful community relief measure.

Niaj Masud Rahat, Officer of Donor Relations and Partnership Development at the Bangladesh Thalassemia Foundation, commended the hotel management and its employees for their prompt response. He noted that seeing nearly half of the employee base step forward voluntarily sets a strong example of corporate social responsibility.

The blood donation camp marks the opening initiative of a month-long series of corporate activities planned by Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan. Throughout September, the establishment plans to launch further community outreach programs covering youth education, environmental sustainability, and holistic well-being.

As part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ global social impact movement, ‘Giving for Good Month’ encourages employees worldwide to dedicate time and resources toward sustainable community development.
