Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman attended the Annual Commanders’ Conferences 2026 of the Corps of Military Police and the Remount Veterinary and Farm (RV&FC) Corps as the chief guest on Thursday, August 27, 2026. The two events took place separately at the Corps of Military Police Centre and School (CMPCS) and the RV&FC Depot in Savar, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
Addressing the Corps of Military Police conference, General Waker-Uz-Zaman highlighted the core’s vital role in maintaining discipline and security across the armed forces. He engaged with unit commanders on technological advancement, research, professional skill development, and strategic future planning. The Army Chief praised the Military Police members for their contributions both nationally and in international missions.
Following the Military Police gathering, General Waker-Uz-Zaman presided over the 4th Annual Commanders’ Conference of the RV&FC Corps. During his address, he emphasized the corps’ historical legacy and its active contribution toward safeguarding nutrition and food security for Bangladesh Army personnel.
The Army Chief urged commanders to focus on expanding farm output through modern agricultural technologies and advanced veterinary practices. He reiterated that continuous research and operational skills remain essential for the corps to meet growing demands.
Key military leaders attended the events, including the Colonel Commandant and Commandant of the National Defense College, the Acting General Officer Commanding of the Army Training and Doctrine Command, the Adjutant General of the Bangladesh Army, the Colonel Commandant of RV&FC and Commandant of the Defense Services Command and Staff College, and the General Officer Commanding of the 9th Infantry Division and Area Commander, Savar Area.
