Grameenphone, the country’s leading telecommunications service provider, has partnered with Shikho, one of Bangladesh’s leading edtech platforms, to make quality digital education more accessible and affordable for students across the country.
The agreement was signed recently at GPHouse by Grameenphone Chief Product Officer Solaiman Alam and Shikho Founder and Chief Executive Officer Shahir Chowdhury. Senior officials from both organisations attended the signing ceremony.
Under the partnership, Grameenphone will offer Shikho’s premium Mathematics courses through the MyGP app at discounted prices. The initiative is designed to help students from Class 6 to Class 10, especially SSC candidates, while also providing parents with an affordable and reliable learning solution.
Students will be able to access structured, high-quality academic content easily through a single platform.
Speaking at the event, Solaiman Alam said the partnership reflects Grameenphone’s commitment to expanding access to education through technology. He said the integration of Shikho’s learning content with MyGP, along with simple payment options, will make premium courses available to the app’s 22.3 million monthly active users.
“This collaboration makes quality education more affordable and accessible while creating greater value for our customers and helping students achieve better learning outcomes,” he added.
Among those present from Grameenphone were Chief Executive Officer Yasir Azman, Head of Digital Business Zahiduz Zaman, Head of Brand & Market Communications and Skitto Nafees Anwar Choudhury, Head of Content Business Shomail Ataher, and Head of Platform Business Kazi Rashed Abdallah. Shikho Chief Operating Officer Ishmam Chowdhury also attended the event.
