Ex-BSL leader’s followers pay tribute secretly in Rajapur on mother language day

Date:

TBM Report

Despite the shift in the political landscape since August 5, activists of Chhatra League and Jubo League paid floral tributes at a local Shaheed Minar in Rajapur, Jhalakathi, on behalf of former student leader Khan Rizvi Sabbir.

The program was conducted secretly after midnight on Friday at a local school premises to avoid potential confrontation.

A video of the tribute was later shared on Sabbir’s Facebook account, who has been vocal on social media in support of the Awami League. Sabbir, the nephew of central Awami League leader Muniruzzaman Monir, remains active online despite his physical absence from the locality.

Local observers see this as a symbolic attempt to maintain political presence during challenging times.
