Education Minister Dr. A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan has declared a zero-tolerance policy against exam malpractice, asserting that the culture of question leaks and cheating will be permanently eradicated. Speaking at his first press conference at the Secretariat on Wednesday, the Minister emphasized that the new administration is committed to restoring discipline in the academic sector through rigorous monitoring and advanced technological oversight.

Outlining his vision for a “Global Village” compatible education system, Dr. Milan announced comprehensive reforms to modernize the national curriculum. To meet the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the government plans to integrate cutting-edge subjects such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, and Nanotechnology into the classroom. “We cannot progress with an outdated system; our students must acquire skills that are competitive on an international level,” the Minister stated, highlighting the need for enhanced digital literacy and English proficiency.

Addressing the long-standing grievances of non-government teachers, the Minister acknowledged the disparity in their salary structures. While he did not provide an immediate timeline, Dr. Milan assured that the government is fully aware of the situation and will announce a strategic decision at an appropriate time. Furthermore, he pledged to investigate allegations of corruption in the MPO (Monthly Pay Order) enlistment process, ensuring that transparency remains the hallmark of his tenure.

Dr. Milan also took a firm stance against administrative corruption within the Ministry, distancing the current leadership from previous controversies. He affirmed that under his supervision, institutional integrity will be strictly maintained, and no irregularities will be tolerated in the enlistment of educational institutions. Alongside Deputy Minister Bobby Hajjaj, the Minister concluded that his primary objective is to transform Bangladesh’s education into a world-class system that fosters innovation and ethical leadership.
