Different development projects including Dhaka University’s large development project with an estimated cost of Tk2,841 crore have been inaugurated.
These projects include construction of 21-storey academic building for Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Faculty of Engineering and Technology, 3rd class staff residential building, construction of 15-storey IT hub building, 9 halls (boys-4, girls-5), 6 academic buildings, central mosque, Daksu building, medical centre, administration building, construction of gymnasium with playground development, reservoir renovation and beautification, road Network and construction of public toilets.
On Saturday (January 31), Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan Nawab Nawab Ali Chowdhury inaugurated the activities of these projects by attending a function as the chief guest in the Senate Bhavan Auditorium.
On the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor briefed the media about 41 significant activities and achievements of the university administration from August 2024 to January 2026. Acting Director of Planning and Development Office Mohammad Javed Alam Mridha highlighted the activities of various projects.
