TBM Report

Mirza Abbas, a prominent member of the BNP Standing Committee and a political advisor to the Prime Minister, has been admitted to Singapore General Hospital for advanced medical treatment. As of Sunday evening, he is under intensive care within the hospital’s Neurosciences department, where he is being closely monitored by a team of specialists.

The party’s health affairs secretary, Dr. Rafiqul Islam, confirmed the status of his health following his arrival. Mr. Abbas departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday morning via an air ambulance. The flight, which lasted approximately three and a half hours, concluded safely, with no reported complications during the journey. Upon landing in Singapore, he was immediately transported to the hospital for a comprehensive diagnostic assessment.

Medical experts at Singapore General Hospital have begun a series of investigations to evaluate his condition. While he remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close observation, party representatives have described his condition as being under professional oversight. The medical board at the hospital is currently formulating a tailored treatment plan based on the results of the initial examinations conducted upon his arrival.

Mirza Abbas’s family and the Bangladesh Nationalist Party have requested prayers from the public and supporters for his swift recovery. As he continues to receive specialized neurological care, the party has assured that updates on his condition will be shared as they become available. For now, the focus remains entirely on the specialized care being provided by the Singaporean medical team to ensure his stabilization and long-term health.
