Challenged by Rape and Forced Abortion Charges, Student Shibir Leader Jisan Fakes Medical Illness to Evade Court Production

Jisan Miah Prodhan, a central leader and Assistant International Affairs Secretary of Islami Chhatra Shibir, is currently under heavy tactical police guard at the Comilla Medical College Hospital after being arrested on severe criminal charges of serial rape and forced termination of a fetus. Clinical evaluations and diagnostic diagnostics confirm that the political operative is in optimal physical health. However, law enforcement officials and medical authorities confirmed that Jisan is deliberately staging “clinical malingering”—refusing to open his eyes or cooperate with investigators—to temporarily stall his mandatory production before the judicial court.

The criminal trajectory intensified following a comprehensive probe by the District Detective Branch (DB). Investigative findings reveal that Jisan established a digital liaison via Facebook with a 25-year-old widowed victim, which subsequently transitioned into an intimate relationship. Upon learning that the victim had conceived, Jisan allegedly coerced her into executing a pharmaceutical abortion. When the victim persistently demanded legal marriage, a wedding date was finalized for June 12. In a calculated move to evade the matrimonial obligation, Jisan staged a pseudo-abduction plot on June 11, prompting his family to file a missing person’s General Diary (GD) with the local police command.

Following a tracking operation, tactical DB units located and extracted Jisan in an ostensibly “unconscious” state from the Laksam Railway Junction perimeter on Friday night. Comilla Medical College Hospital Acting Director Mohammad Shahjahan confirmed that a specialized four-member Medical Board, spearheaded by the Head of internal Medicine and supplemented by neuro-medicine, anesthesia, and psychiatry experts, has been officially commissioned to evaluate Jisan’s psychological and clinical profile. “If the independent panel validates that the suspect is fabricating symptoms to evade justice, he will be instantly discharged into police custody tomorrow at 11:00 AM,” Director Shahjahan verified, adding that the victim’s forensic medical examination has been concluded.

The Daudkandi Model Police Command has formally booked Jisan and three of his close associates under the stringent Prevention of Women and Children Repression Act. The auxiliary accomplices—identified as Sekandar Ali, Golam Rabbi, and Sajib Hasan—were arrested and remanded to central prison facilities by a Comilla magistrate on Saturday. Concurrently, the central command of Islami Chhatra Shibir has initiated expulsion protocols against Jisan Miah Prodhan for severe moral turpitude and institutional breach of discipline. DB Command Officer Shamsul Alam Shah reiterated that formal interrogation matrices and remand applications remain pending awaiting the clinical sign-off from the newly formed medical board.
