The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has officially released the temporary cadre recommendations for six candidates whose results within the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examination had been withheld. The statutory decision was finalized after a rigorous, multi-tiered vetting process validated the authenticity of their claimed Freedom Fighter certificates. The apex employment commission published a formal notification detailing the status alteration on its official website on Monday (May 18, 2026).
Earlier on February 8 this year, the BPSC declared the final results for the 46th BCS (Examination 2023), initially recommending 1,457 candidates for provisional appointment across various administrative and technical cadres. However, the nominations of these specific six candidates were indefinitely stayed pending a definitive forensic and bureaucratic verification of their quota-related credentials. Following absolute verification from the field administration and lines of ministries, the commission officially rescinded the stay orders.
According to the BPSC statistics, the newly recommended cohort includes five candidates allotted to general cadres and one to a technical cadre. Specifically, two candidates have been integrated into the prestigious BCS Administration cadre, holding registration numbers 11107278 and 11025264. Concurrently, registration numbers 11089829 (BCS Police), 13027866 (BCS Taxation), 13025281 (BCS Family Planning), and 17018651 (BCS Livestock) have successfully secured their ultimate nominations.
The constitutional body, however, accentuated that these recommendations remain purely provisional. Prior to the issuance of the final government gazette, the appointing authorities will independently cross-examine all educational transcripts, quota validations, and auxiliary documentations. Furthermore, the final appointments remain contingent upon candidates clearing the mandatory health examinations administered by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) medical board, along with satisfactory police and security intelligence clearances. The commission warned that any retrospective discovery of information forgery will invite immediate termination and criminal prosecution.
