ACC raids Kamarkhand health complex over allegations of treatments by ward boy

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) conducted a drive at the Kamarkhand Upazila Health Complex in Sirajganj on Wednesday following allegations of severe medical negligence. The raid, led by Momin Uddin from the ACC’s Pabna office, investigated reports that a ward boy was tasked with suturing patients’ wounds instead of qualified doctors.

Source confirmed that the incident reportedly occurred in August 2024, involving former medical officer Abhijit Roy and a ward boy named Abu Taleb. The ACC team scrutinized hospital records and staff attendance. “We have found serious concerns regarding service quality,” said Momin Uddin, adding that a final report would be submitted to the commission for further legal action against the accused.
