Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 39 suspects during a 24-hour citywide crackdown titled “Operation Devil Hunt Phase-2.” The operations, conducted by five police stations—Jatrabari, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Khilkhait, Banani, and Mirpur—targeted individuals allegedly involved in various crimes.
Jatrabari police recorded the highest number of arrests with 13 suspects and seized 12 kilograms of cannabis during their raids. Meanwhile, Khilkhait police apprehended 10 individuals, and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police detained eight others linked to regular and pending cases.
In separate drives, Banani police arrested five suspects, including those with outstanding warrants, while Mirpur Model police took three into custody. Following the completion of legal formalities, authorities produced all detainees before the court.
