Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their joint commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation across key strategic sectors, expressing high satisfaction over the steady growth of mutual engagements. Both nations underscored the need for frequent high-level diplomatic exchanges and structured dialogues to sustain momentum and elevate relations to newer heights.
The consensus was reached during a courtesy call made by the Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh, Dr. Abdullah Zafer bin Abiyah, on the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Humaiun Kobir, at the Foreign Ministry in Dhaka. A press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed the key outcomes of the discussion.
During the interaction, the state minister highlighted the necessity of maintaining seamless strategic communication between Dhaka and Riyadh. He pointed out that regular high-level interactions would open up broader avenues for trade, investment, labor market expansion, and energy collaboration.
Ambassador Dr. Abdullah Zafer bin Abiyah appreciated the growing bilateral engagement and reiterated Riyadh’s interest in advancing joint development initiatives. He assured that Saudi Arabia remains dedicated to exploring new areas of partnership for the economic progress of both friendly nations.
Diplomatic observers note that Bangladesh has been actively seeking stronger ties with the Gulf kingdom to attract more foreign direct investment and streamline manpower exports.
