The Rajbari District Unit of Jubo Dal has officially distanced itself from Abul Hashem Sujan, the prime suspect in the tragic killing of a petrol pump worker. During a press conference at the Rajbari Press Club on Sunday, leaders clarified that Sujan resigned from all posts and primary membership of the party back in January 2019 to join the Awami League.
The briefing followed media reports linking Sujan to the BNP’s youth wing. District Convener Khairul Anam Bokul urged journalists to refrain from using the party’s name in connection with the crime, stating that the organization bears no responsibility for Sujan’s actions. The party also condemned the brutal killing of worker Ripon Saha and demanded immediate justice. Currently, Sujan and the vehicle driver are in custody following a confessional statement by the latter regarding the incident that occurred last Friday.
