Joint forces launch crackdown in Nazirpur: drug dealer detained, traffic fines imposed

In a series of coordinated operations, the joint forces and Bangladesh Army have ramped up law enforcement and road safety measures in Nazirpur Upazila. The crackdown led to the detention of a female drug dealer with a significant haul of narcotics and the imposition of heavy fines for traffic violations.

During a late-night raid on Tuesday in the Malikhali Union, army personnel led by Captain Naufel Ahmed Bhuiyan apprehended Rabeya Akhter (26) with 47 pieces of Yaba and over 900 grams of marijuana. Meanwhile, on Thursday morning, a checkpoint led by Warrant Officer Md. Lutfar Rahman at Chauthai Mahal Bus Stand resulted in fines totaling BDT 21,000 for various road transport offenses.

Earlier on Sunday, another mobile court operation was conducted by Executive Magistrate Shapath Bairagi to ensure discipline on the roads. Authorities have confirmed that these operations will continue as part of an ongoing effort to eliminate drug trafficking and ensure public safety in the region.
