The Saudi Supreme Court has officially announced that the crescent moon for the month of Shawwal 1447 was not sighted across the Kingdom today. Consequently, Thursday will mark the 30th day of Ramadan, and Eid Al Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, March 20, 2026.
As per tradition, the Moon Sighting Committee met this evening but reported no sighting of the new moon. Following this, the Kingdom declared that the month of fasting will complete its full 30-day cycle. This announcement sets the stage for millions of residents and pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to prepare for the festive prayers and celebrations on Friday morning.
