Ziad Shatara, the Managing Director and CEO of Robi Axiata PLC, held a courtesy meeting with Ashik Chowdhury, Executive Chairman of BIDA and BEZA, on Thursday. This was Shatara’s inaugural formal engagement with administrative authorities since assuming his role at Robi.
During the meeting, Shatara detailed Robi’s strategic focus on sustainable digital growth and long-term investment priorities in Bangladesh. Both leaders discussed enhancing the investment climate through robust public-private synergy. “Robi is committed to expanding digital connectivity in alignment with national development goals,” Shatara stated. High-ranking officials from Robi, including Chief Corporate and Regulatory Officer Shahed Alam, were also in attendance.
