Hadi murder case: Prime accused Faisal denies charges in West Bengal court

Date:

TBM Report

Faisal Karim Masud, the prime suspect in the high-profile murder of Inqilab Mancha convener Sharif Osman bin Hadi, has explicitly denied his involvement in the crime. During his appearance at the Bidhannagar Special Court in West Bengal on Sunday (March 22), Faisal told reporters that he was being wrongfully accused. However, he remained tight-lipped when questioned about his illegal escape to India and the circulation of fake videos intended to mislead investigators about his location.

The West Bengal Police’s Special Task Force (STF) apprehended Faisal and his associate, Alamgir Hossain, on March 7 from the Bongaon area near the Bangladesh-India border. According to STF sources, Faisal, a 37-year-old from Patuakhali, and Alamgir, a 34-year-old from Dhaka, had crossed the border illegally and were hiding in West Bengal. They were reportedly waiting for an opportunity to re-enter Bangladesh covertly before being intercepted by the task force.

Inside the court premises, as journalists pressed for details regarding the murder, Faisal stated, “I didn’t do it. I wasn’t involved in such activities.” Interestingly, when asked why he chose to flee if he were innocent, Faisal offered no response. He also maintained silence regarding the controversial social media videos he allegedly created while in India, which falsely claimed he was residing in Dubai. His evasiveness regarding his movements has added another layer of complexity to the ongoing judicial proceedings.
