Army apprehends 4 drug dealers with weapons in nalchity

The Bangladesh Army conducted a targeted raid in the Nalchity sub-district, arresting four notorious drug dealers from the Dapdapia Zero Point area on Sunday evening. The operation led to the recovery of Yaba tablets, cannabis, domestic and foreign weapons, and fake media credentials.

The arrestees, identified as Rakib Sikdar, Sohag Talukdar, Shipon Hossain, and Bashir Sikdar, were reportedly involved in various crimes, including drug trafficking, extortion, and mugging. Led by Captain Tanveer and Captain Saiyar, the army team also seized cash, mobile phones, and equipment used for narcotics consumption. Interestingly, the suspects used fake journalist ID cards to cover their illicit activities.

While two other suspects managed to flee the scene, the army assured that such drives would continue to maintain law and order. The apprehended individuals were handed over to Nalchity Police Station for further legal proceedings and are scheduled to be produced before the court on Monday.
