A drive has been underway to remove all illegal structures on the both sides of the highway in Rupatali bus stand area under Barisal city. In the last 15 years, influential politicians grabbed the land on the both sides of the highway and built various shops and markets there illegally. As a result, the width of the road was reduced and there was traffic jam in this area throughout the day. This illegal eviction would reduce the traffic congestion of the area effectively.
