The fair, which began on 26 November, has already garnered significant attention from farmers, entrepreneurs, and visitors from across the country.

With more than 300 stalls, the fair showcases the diversity and potential of Bangladesh’s livestock sector. Twenty government institutions are participating alongside private companies, research organizations, and livestock-related enterprises.

A variety of specialized sections have been set up, reflecting the scale and ambition of the event. The pets and birds segment features 34 stalls across four pavilions. Livestock equipment manufacturers are represented through 18 pavilions and 14 stalls, while animal health companies have set up 16 pavilions. The food processing and value-added products section includes 24 stalls and 13 pavilions. Poultry-related industries are present with 32 stalls and 16 pavilions.

In addition, there are 30 stalls dedicated to indigenous cattle and 15 stalls showcasing Shankar (cross-breed) cows. Goats and sheep have 13 stalls, and a vibrant food court with 13 stalls adds to the festive atmosphere.

According to organizers, the fair aims to highlight the importance of conserving and sustainably developing indigenous livestock breeds, while also promoting modern technology, innovation, and successful initiatives within the livestock sector. It further focuses on animal health protection, disease control, and the promotion of environmentally friendly livestock and poultry farming.

Another major objective is to create a platform for exchange of experience among farmers, experts, and industry stakeholders, and to foster stronger public-private partnerships. Special emphasis has been placed on encouraging the involvement of women and youth in livestock-based entrepreneurship.

Visitors have praised the fair for its vibrant atmosphere, diverse exhibits, and educational value. Organizers expect attendance to increase in the coming days, with hopes that the fair will become an annual event promoting Bangladesh’s growing livestock industry.
